Stamping
Read more about our stamping
Stamping is a method of sheet metal processing that combines precision and efficiency. By using a stamping machine, we can create precise holes, cutouts and shapes in sheet metal and other materials. The technology is widely used in the manufacturing industry to produce components for everything from machinery to building structures.
Our work in stamping
Punching uses a punch and die to press out desired shapes from sheet metal. The process can be done mechanically or with CNC control, which provides high accuracy and repeatability.
At RG Mekaniska we work with the fully automatic Pullmax 730, an advanced punching machine that processes sheet metal formats up to 3000×1500 mm without rework and handles thicknesses up to 6 mm. In addition to traditional punching, we can also perform bending, threading and forming, such as flanging.
Different methods
There are several different punching methods depending on the type of processing required:
- Eccentric pressing – is particularly good for large series of similar parts or a product-unique design that requires a pressing tool, for example in the automotive and electronics industries.
- CNC-controlled punching – an automated method that provides high precision and enables advanced patterns in large volumes.
Applications for stamping
In industry, stamping is used to manufacture components for machines, vehicles and electrical appliances. In prototype manufacturing, the method enables the fast and cost-effective production of test models. Stamping is also suitable for mass production, where large volumes can be produced with high precision and efficiency.
Advantages:
- Fast production rate for small and large series.
- High precision in CNC-controlled punching.
- Possibility of combining with other processing methods.
Safety and quality
When punching, safety is paramount. Operators must work with the right protective equipment and follow strict work procedures. At RG Mekaniska, we ensure that our machines are regularly maintained to maintain both quality and safety in the production process.
